Night Vision Shooting Courses in Central Texas

Our night vision training is built for shooters who want to operate effectively when visibility is limited. This is not theory-only instruction—students run live-fire drills under night conditions using IR lasers and modern night vision equipment.

Courses are held in Central Texas, with students attending from Austin, Temple, Waco, Dallas, Fort Worth and surrounding areas.

Real-World Instruction

No gimmicks. No theatrics. Just practical skills.

Safety First, Always

Training begins and ends with responsibility.

Confidence Through Competence

Understanding builds calm, capable decision-making.

Who Should Take a Night Vision Course

This training is designed for:

  • Civilians building defensive capability
  • Prepared citizens and serious shooters
  • Law enforcement and security personnel
  • Anyone looking to expand beyond daytime shooting

Prerequisite: Students must already be comfortable handling and shooting a rifle safely.

What You’ll Learn in Night Vision Training

  • How to safely operate a rifle under night vision
  • IR laser and illuminator setup and use
  • Confirming and maintaining an IR zero
  • Transitioning between white light and IR
  • Target engagement in low and no-light conditions
  • Equipment setup for helmet-mounted NV systems

These are practical skills—not range theatrics.

Required Gear for Night Vision Training

To participate in live-fire training, students need:

  • Rifle (AR-15 platform preferred)
  • IR laser/illuminator (DBAL or PEQ-style civilian equivalent)
  • Night vision device (PVS-14 or similar)
  • Helmet and mount

Additional gear includes ammunition, white light, sling, and safety equipment.

Note: Rental night vision equipment may be available in limited quantities.

Why Night Vision Training Matters

Most environments where defensive use of a firearm occurs happen in reduced light.

Training under night vision exposes:

  • Equipment limitations
  • Visibility challenges
  • Decision-making under stress

Without training, gear alone is not enough.

What Sets Us Apart

  1. Small class sizes
  2. Calm, ego-free instruction
  3. Beginner-friendly environment
  4. Emphasis on “why,” not just “how”
  5. Clear training progression path

Our Training Philosophy

Training should empower — not intimidate.
We believe safety, understanding, and confidence are the foundation of skill. Everything we teach builds from that principle.

Skills that translate into Real-Life

“I came in not knowing how to run my rifle confidently. By the end of the day, I understood not just how it works, but how to handle malfunctions, movement, and safety like a professional. This wasn’t a range day, it was real training.”

Ben C., Graduate: Intro to Firearms

“We brought several team members for preparedness training. The instructors immediately identified our weaknesses, corrected them, and gave us repeatable drills we now practice weekly.”

— Adam, Church Safety Coordinator

Austin TX

“I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know until this class. The fundamentals were clearly explained, demonstrated, and coached. I’m already signed up for the next course.”

Dylan P. - Graduate of Rifle Fundamentals
